Bridge United Super Sevens Tournament Rules 2025
- All games 25mins in duration (no half time)
- Squads of 12 players maximum.
- No offside rule
- Retreat Rules (2014 Boys & Girls): One attacking player allowed inside the retreat line. All other attackers to be outside the retreat line. For the attacker in the retreat zone, play becomes live once GK releases the ball. Ball. For the other attackers outside retreat line the play becomes live for them once a defender touches the Ball .
- Retreat Rules (2016 Boys): No attacking players allowed inside the retreat line. Play becomes live for all once a defender touches the Ball .
- Goalkeepers cannot kick the ball from their hands at any stage of play. They can roll/ throw ball out or pass it from the ground with their feet.
- Kick ins will be in place for 2016 Boys Tournament.
- Throw ins will be in place for 2014 Boys & Girls Tournaments.
- Strictly coaches and players only will be permitted on playing pitches.
- All Parents and Supporters to remain in spectators area.
- 16 Teams split in to 4 groups of 4.
- 4 Group winners to contest Cup Competition.
- 4 Group Runners Up to contest Bowl Competition.
- 4 Group 3rd Place Teams to contest Shield Competition.
- 4 Group 4th Place Teams to contest Plate Competition.
- Winners of Semi Finals contest the Final.
- Losers of Semi Finals contest 3rd/4th place game.
- Each Group will be allocated a pitch and a pitch coordinator.
- Games are to start promptly.
- In the event of teams finishing on the same number of points, goal difference will determine Group placings. If goal difference is the same a penalty shootout will determine the Group placings (5 penalties per team)
- All entry money to be paid in advance, no places will be held under any circumstances.
- All Teams to register in Bridge United Clubhouse between 9:00 and 9.30am. First games will kick off at 10am sharp.
- If two teams have a clash of colours the onus will be on the team drawn first to change kit.
- Trophies will be presented to all winning teams after the Finals.
