SFAI u16 South West Region Semi Final
Bridge United v St Brendan's Park
Saturday April 9th
2pm
Bridge United u16s take on St Brendan's Park of Tralee this Saturday for a place in the South West Region final.
Having gotten over their disappointment in Cork a fortnight ago, it was Newmarket Celtic that felt the backlash on Tuesday evening last when Bridge opened their league campaign with an emphatic win.
The tie this weekend will be a lot closer affair no doubt. St Brendan's Park, a club steeped in rich footballing history, will travel up in good form, they themselves having a good run in the National Cup.
Boasting a number of players on Kerry's U16 team that travelled to play Clare just a few weeks ago, the players will be somewhat accustomed with one another.
Oscar Rixton made his comeback in that league game midweek and a young Luke Deegan also made his debut. Two promising additions to an already exciting squad.
Best of luck to Pa, Vinny and Corey. Heaven knows these boys deserve to get their day out in a final. Romance is one thing, reality is another. This game will have to be earned, and St Brendan's won't be feeling too generous. Join us from 2.30pm
