Shannon Olympic 1 - 3 Bridge Utd A
A late change of venue saw our Premier A team travel to Ennis to face Shannon Olympic.
Bridge started the brighter with Leon Daly to the fore causing problems for the home side with two efforts on goal in quick succession inside the first 10mins.
The Olympic goal was living a charmed existence early doors, with a combination of poor finishing and last ditch defending keeping the away side out. Jordan Downes and Brian Corry both having close efforts.
Olympic had an shot well saved by Paul Touhy when a corner kick was only cleared to the edge of the box and hit first time by Sean McDonald.
Bridge finally opened their account on 27mins when some good build up play set Corry away and his cross was met first time by Liam Buckley who left the keeper with little chance.
Bridge went on to dominate possession for the remainder of the half. They got their just rewards when roles reversed and Liam Buckley turned provider and cut back to Brian Corry who cooly finished first time low to the bottom corner on 44mins.
The second half started with Bridge on top with Boyce, Fitzpatrick and the ever green Jonathan Downes dictating the tempo of proceedings.
On a rare foray in to the Bridge half Olympic were set free and looked certain to half the deficit only for Dan Larkin to produce a great tackle to deny Wayne Regan.
An innocuous free kick provided Olympic with a chance to pull one back only to find the impressive Touhy in goal to again deny a certain goal.
On 57mins Bridge put together a great passage of play that resulted in Adam Fitzpatrick adding a 3rd goal an effectively putting the result beyond the Shannon side.
To their credit, Olympic battled hard and got the goal their efforts warranted when Declan McDonald took the ball around Touhy and finished to the net with the last kick of the game.

Hermitage 4 - 2 Bridge Utd B
Hermitage and Bridge B faced off on Sunday morning in the Fairgreen in Ennis.
The home side raced in to an early lead before Ronan Touhy got an equaliser. Further goals saw Tage 3 -1 ahead only for Ethan Slater to set it up for a comeback. Tage made in 4 - 2 late on.
