Moloney Hardware Premier League
Newmarket Celtic – 0
Bridge United A - 0
Our A team got off to a solid start to this years campaign with a deserved draw against reigning champions Newmarket on Friday evening. The Bridge side has a fresh feel to it this year with the experienced John Mulready and Darren Murphy crucially returning to the fold with plenty youthful additions also with Liam Buckley, Scott Kirkland, Ethan Slater and Danny Mannering playing important roles in Fridays result.
In a game that offered very few clear cut chances the Bridge could have taken all 3 points had it not been for a fantastic save by Shane Cusack down to his right side to keep out Jordan Downes effort midway through the second half.
