It's been a positive week for our senior teams with both teams backing up their midweek wins with further victories on Sunday.

 

Our A team secured a critical win in Lahinch on Wednesday against Moher Celtic thanks to goals from Davy Lynch, Tadgh Keogh and Derek Fahy.

Team: Cory Mc Manus, Kevin Kelly, Alan Mulready (Capt), Jon Downes, Mark Pewter, Tadgh Keogh, Christy Carey, Davy Lynch, Jordan Downes, Derek Fahy, Ben McLaughlin

Subs: Conor Deasy for Lynch (inj), Conor Maxwell, Peter Kowalski

 

On Sunday morning Turnpike Rovers were the visitors to Sixmilebridge and the home side secured their second win of the new campaign. Goals from Davy Lynch, Tadgh Keogh and Jordan Downes secured a deseved victory for the ever improving hosts. Next up for the A team are Avenue on Wednesday and Mountshannon on Sunday, both games are on in Sixmilebridge.

The B Team were in League Cup action this week knowing that two victories would secure a place in this years final. Bunratty Cratloe FC were the visitors on Wednesday evening.  The home side took the lead on 25 minutes through Mikey McNamara with Eoghan Maxwell doubling lead with a smart finish on 40 minutes. Donald Devanney secured the victory on 60 minutes when he powered home an Eric Carr corner.

Team: Paul Touhy, Dan Larkin, Mark Culbert, Damien Murray, Duck Devanney, Eric Carr, Barry Downes, Adrian Whyte, Eoghan Maxwell, Kieran Quinlan, Mikey McNamara

Subs: Aidan Whelan for Downes, Mark Hehir for Murray, Noel Duggan for Mike Mc, Johhny Hayes for Maxwell

Following the win on Thursday it was all or nothing for both Bridge and Shannon Town going into Sundays game. In a very tight game it was a Noel Duggan goal on 60 minutes that decided the tie. We will now play Hermitage FC in the final following their convincing win over Corofin Harps.
