Selprint Division 2 League
Bridge United B - 2
Ennis Town B - 2
The home side have been guilty of being very wasteful in front of goal lately and Sundays game proved to be no different as they shared the spoils with Ennis Town on Sunday morning.
The visitors took the lead on 15 minutes with a great curling effort from their left winger. Bridge were unlucky not to equalise when Alan McAuley saw his headed effort come off the cross bar. The equaliser came from a Gavin Downes penalty after Anton Mannering was dragged to the ground by the visitors keeper.
The Bridge started the second half brightly but some poor finishing was punished by the visitors when Mikey Ludden scored on 60 minutes to give the visitors the lead once more.
The home side quickly regained parity when a Gavin Downes cross from the left missed everybody and snuck in at the back post. The game was very open now with Barry Downes seeing efforts come off the post and another deflected wide. Trevor Purcell and Christy Carey also saw good opportunities deflected away as Ennis Town clung on for a share of the spoils.
