Munster Junior Cup - 3rd Round

Bridge United A - 0

Newmarket Celtic A - 3

A hatrick from Junior International Eoin Hayes proved to be the significant difference in this MJ Cup tie held in good conditions in Sixmilebridge on Sunday morning.

Hayes opened the scoring on 8 minutes deflecting home a Alan Brigdale effort. Hayes doubled the scoring on 28 minutes capitalising on a defensive mix up.

The hatrick was completed on 90 minutes when David Reidys effort rebounded off the post to fall on a plate for Hayes to tap home.

Of more concern was a serious injury to Trevor Maxwell which occured after 15 minutes. All at the club wish Maxi a speedy recovery.

Bridge return to league action this weekend when they host Kilrush Rangers at 10.30.
